Figured I would give a little hint at what's lurking under the hood. I had them made in the same font as the upper intake.

Somehow I've missed this before. Awesome is all I have to say.

thanks, here's the build thread if you are into that sort of thing.

You sir,... win.

BLASPHEMY!
Oh... it's still a Ford Motor. Carry on! You can have any motor in a mustang, as long as it's a V8 or 2.3 4 banger.

Impressive.

A million Internetz were not enough for Yueh!

The only thing that would make it better is if that was a 2.3L EcoBoost from a 2015 Mustang - bring it full circle - but that's not really possible right now. Still absolutely awesome either way.

You put a Ford 4 cylinder in a classic Mustang?

have you thought about doing the volvo DOHC head swap?

Just spent the last 2 hours reading through that build thread (yes its now almost 3am)... You sir, are a legend. This is easily the best build I've seen. Gets me all hot and bothered to get some cash and get workin on my subie.
Sidenote: Once the Stang is "finished" (projects are never really finished are they?) I say the WRX needs some love ;)

I have, but that's a lot of work and I will probably be pulling the 2.3T this winter for something with more oomph. 2JZGTE.

Thanks! Every time I think about messing with the wrx, I floor it up an on ramp and think "That'll do Donkey." The WRX and Stang feel very close to my butt dyno.

That settles it. I'm putting a Sunbird Turbo 2.0L in my Trans Am.
Just kidding! That's the worst idea in the history of EVER. Your turbo I4 swap, however, is glorious.

Phew! I thought you were serious for a second.

Wow. You are awesome. I approve.

Neat :) very unexpected. What sort of power do you think you're making? Should be 50-60kg lighter than a V8 as well, which should help both handling and speed.

I know where you can get one really cheap.

A TOYODER ENGINE?
Well you can just go to hell, you go to hell and you die!

I could probably get a truck load of them cheap.

No, but it got me thinking about other not-a-V8-swaps I can do to it....

Ls-Juan and 6spd swap? It's a V8, but a good one.
There always is the F-body V6 Camaro though.

I was thinking of a supercharged Series II 3800. For the lulz.

Sounds about right. I'm telling ya though, nothin livens up a WRX like a cat delete and a tune. (Depending on how often you need emissions done).
